The City of Newburgh doesn't have its own animal shelter, so the first thing we wanted to do was offer free microchips to help keep dogs and families together.
Rocky's family had already had him microchipped, but they stopped by our free clinic to say hello and pick up one of our handkerchiefs. The next day, houseguests accidentally left Rocky out and he ended up wandering the streets before having lunch with another family a few blocks away. They googled "Newburgh Palatine Dog Society" and contacted us, and the neighbor boys on the left showed up just after we had scanned his chip and were able to guide us back to his home.
